I said YES

Saying "yes" is a beautiful feeling. It's like opening the door to new adventures, signing up for a new class, trying out a new restaurant, going on a first date, or even taking that spontaneous trip. It's like having a tiny zoo right inside you, with an adrenaline rush that sparks a flurry of questions and possibilities. Most importantly, it brings excitement and happiness. It might take a bit to get going, but once it does, there's no stopping. Just like that, I said yes to myself, putting aside all my doubts and fears, and I couldn't be happier. All great things begin with a yes! (Remember this and never say NO to a drink) I have realized that life gives us enough choices, and we dodge most of them knowingly or unknowingly, or sometimes they are hidden and waiting for us to dig deeper. Grab your shovels and get going, guys!

Because of a recent "yes," I lived some crazy moments and had experiences of a lifetime with people I can proudly call friends now. It's crazy what wonders this three-letter word can do. I guess three lettered words have some superpower, I am not thinking about ily you are. I went the extra mile (and 1000 km, to be precise xd) for my favorite friendship and created some new ones. Packing within two hours and catching a train to Roorkee all of a sudden sounds crazy, no? Yeah it was, ask my unfortunate friends how they handled me. (Thank you guys, and sorry but you signed up for this yourself so bear with it, and all the best). I was all okayish and nervous throughout the journey, but as soon as I set foot on the campus and saw her there, I couldn't feel anything but joy, all my nervousness disappeared, and I was so over the moon that I simply hugged her, and all that trouble was gone. We just talked and talked, and it turns out she was even more excited than me to have me there with a lot of preparations done.

Over the next few days, I made memories I'll cherish. Be it all nighter talks with Maggie for breakfast and going to bed at 11 am or calling your friend to get you a pair of flats in between your not-so-date or vibing super hard and ruining your outfit in a Ritviz concert. I don't know, the list is endless, but the conclusion is simple- fun. I packed four nightsuits and two dresses for a three-day fest, and I still don't have any reasonable explanation for this math, but I slayed because of the pretty girls around me. They had my back even when I slipped on the floor and didn't give them enough mirror time to get ready. That's a pretty big offense if you are a curly girl trying to straighten your hair.

IIT Roorkee is a cool place, but these people made it awesome! I felt homesick, leaving a place I'd been for only five days. It sounds bizarre, but I wasn't ready to say goodbye. A bunch of strangers welcoming me as an old friend and coming to see me off isn't something I imagined before, but I am grateful it happened. It's incredible how quickly we can connect with people who start as strangers and soon become friends. Leaving was bittersweet, but it taught me the beauty of fleeting moments and the power of human connections that can make any place feel like home.

Saying No to others is hard, but saying YES to yourself is even harder. We often get caught up worrying about what everyone else thinks and the future, missing the little moments that make us truly happy. But what's a future without crazy memories? We need to soak up these moments and let them shape us into our best selves. And the real journey starts with saying "yes" to yourself each day, embracing self-love, and making it a lifelong adventure. It's a pride like no other.
